Dick Vlaanderen

Dick has been building software professionally since the early 2000s, working across a wide range of industries including agriculture, IoT, logistics, fintech, and enterprise systems. His career spans freelance consulting, contract roles at companies including John Austin Ltd, V2track, Devinci Group, ModuSense, and Company-X, through to his current senior engineering role at 14thStreet in Hamilton.

Multitask Services Ltd runs alongside that work, taking on select consulting engagements where Dick can bring genuine value — whether that is a greenfield build, a legacy migration, or an AI integration that needs someone who understands both the technology and the business problem.

Dick also mentors students through Code Institute, supporting full-stack projects in JavaScript, Python, Django, and React. He has a strong personal connection to the rural sector — he has lived on a rural property, worked in contract milking, and built software used daily by agricultural businesses in the Waikato.

Originally from the Netherlands, Dick is fluent in English and Dutch and is a New Zealand citizen.
